ABC 123 Daycare @ Woodlands

Caring for children aged 3 months - 8 years

Woodlands Nursery offers newly refubished facilities for up to thirty five children, between the ages of three months and eight years, it is situated within the idyllic grounds of the Fire Service College next to an area of ancient woodland and adjacent to a sports field.

The Nursery occupies a former hospital unit at the College and consists of a dedicated baby unit caring for children aged between 3 months and 2 years. The room is nestled into the woods where the children regularly watch squirrels, birds and rabbits through the viewing windows that are at child height and look into the woods. The younger children have their own craft room where they undertake a variety of activities from very young ages including painting sand and water play. We have a number of sleep rooms where our children rest in throughout the day.

The Toddlers and Pre-school children have a large play room at the other end of the setting with direct access to our large garden where they  hunt for bugs amongst our wood
pile and wild garden area they grow their own vegetables, flowers and herbs. Inside they make their own choices from our large range of resources in both the messy play area and our dry area.

We regularly take advantage of being located in such a wonderfully unique setting enjoying regular walks in the woods where we often see the wild deer and much other wildlife. We enjoy and celebrate the changing seasons with bluebell woods in the spring and golden autumn leaves. The children love to be out and about in this wonderful space.
